In 1999 Galerie de Beyrie
in New York presented "La Maison de René Herbst," an
historic exhibition of prototypes and rare pieces: furniture,
objects and archives from the personal collection of René
Herbst, a Major French Modernist and founder of the U.A.M. (Union
des Artistes Modernes). René Herbst was particularly
known for creating the "Sandows" chair. |
